Our in-house PPA Team all have training and extensive experience teaching in Primary Education

At Enthuse Kids we believe in providing high quality teaching, developing healthy lifestyles, creating a safe and enriching learning environment and using Physical Education as an important tool towards the holistic development of young people. We are commited to developing positive working relationships within schools and strengthening links within the community and local clubs.

Enthuse Kids offer high quality sports provision to give schools support to cover P.P.A and deliver the P.E National Curriculum. The individual requirements of each school can be met. We offer coaches for a morning, an afternoon, a full day or any number of lessons a school may wish to have. The number of coaches will depend on the requirements of each school.

We cover lessons and PPA time teaching all elements of the P.E national curriculum from Reception through to Year 6. Using a seven part lesson plan for each Unit, we focus on developing key skills through a variety of sports in accordance with the national curriculum guidelines and ensuring the correct progression for each year group we are working with.

Our package offers great value for money and is ideal for schools seeking to cover the outlined requirements in regards to the 'School Sports Premium'. The service also includes 'Team Teaching', assessment and pupil tracking.

EYFS & Key Stage 1 Programme

Pupils will develop their fundamental movement skills, become increasingly competent and confident and access a broad range of opportunities to extend their agility, balance and coordination, individually and with others.

They will engage in competitive (both against self and against others) and co-operative physical activities, in a range of increasingly challenging situations.

Pupils are taught to:

  • Master basic movements including running, jumping, throwing and catching, as well as developing balance, agility and co-ordination, and begin to apply these in a range of activities

  • Participate in team games, developing simple tactics for attacking and defending

  • Perform dances using simple movement patterns

Key Stage 2 Programme

Pupils are taught to apply and develop a broader range of skills, learning how to use them in different ways and to link them to make actions and sequences of movement.

Children learn to communicate, collaborate and compete with each other and develop an understanding of how to improve in different physical activities and sports, and learn how to evaluate and recognise their own success.

Pupils are taught to:

  • Use running, jumping, throwing and catching in isolation and in combination

  • Play competitive games, modified where appropriate, for example, handball, basketball, cricket, football, hockey, netball, rounder's and tennis, and apply basic principles suitable for attacking and defending

  • Develop flexibility, strength, technique, control and balance through athletics and gymnastics

  • Perform dances using a range of movement patterns

  • Take part in outdoor and adventurous activity challenges both individually and within a team

  • Compare their performances with previous ones and demonstrate improvement to achieve their personal best
